Luck o' the Non-Irish

I can't remember ever celebrating St. Patty's day. I vaguely recall corned beef and cabbage as a youngin', but never a real celebration....

But this year, in the spirit of new adventures, I can say I have officially celebrated the holiday...the holiday that has an unknown meaning to mean yet still pulls me closer to green beer!

MY FIRST GREEN BEER!!

And lets not forget the Food! And speaking corned beef...Did you know that Irish folk don't typically eat this on St Patrick's Day....interesting that this is an American tradion, so....Why corned beef and cabbage??

And then there was Irish soda bread and Irish butter!

Until last night I didn't even know there was such a thing as Irish butter....I thought butter was butter was butter. But, nonetheless, it was yummy!

So, all in all it was a wonderful evening filled with good friends and good food and GREEN BEER!

I think I am still stuffed from everything I consumed!

Every day should be a new adventure

Even if you don't experience something new every day, every day should be a new experience

Today I tried orange marmalade for the first time.....I don't think this will become a culinary favorite
